Aphasia Groups and Classes provide an opportunity for individuals who are living with aphasia to practice their communication skills with others who have aphasia. Groups and classes are facilitated by a speech-language pathologist.

Conversation support groups and classes for people with aphasia are held on Thursdays. Please see the Events listed below for more information on location, date and time.

Intensive Aphasia Therapy Program


The recognized leader in rehabilitation care offers ten individuals the opportunity to work with a national leader in aphasia research and treatment. Shirley Ryan 香港六合彩即时开奖 provides an intensive, month-long therapy led by Leora Cherney, PhD, CCC-SLP. 

Why an intensive program?
Recent studies have shown that individuals with aphasia benefit from intense treatment provided over a short period of time. This therapy regimen increases the possibility of improved communication.

Aphasia Community Programs


The Center for Aphasia Research and Treatment offers a variety of groups and classes for people with aphasia who are living in the community. All classes help the participant practice communicating in a supportive group environment.

General conversation groups provide an opportunity to discuss general topics such as current events, sports, television/movies, and issues facing individuals who are living with aphasia. Topic-centered conversation focus on a specific theme.

The aphasia book club is designed to help those who have difficulty reading. Each book club series runs for 8-16 weeks. Books, audio-tapes, chapter summaries, and weekly worksheets are provided.
